KENT / SURREY BORDERS

THE BRIEF

To renovate and modernise an old 16th Century Grade II Listed Hall House on the Kent/Surrey borders.  To maintain historic features whilst adding a contemporary feel. Landscaping and pool renovation, six bedrooms and three bathrooms.

THE PROJECT

This is part one of this ongoing, challenging project; the restoration of this old historic Grade II Listed property with six bedrooms, three bathrooms and a slightly derelict swimming pool. It is nestled in the countryside on the edge of the Kent/Surrey borders. We are working with wonky floorboards, beams, a spiral staircase and the planning authorities!

We started by ripping out a couple of  the bathrooms and upgraded them to beautiful walk in shower rooms with vanity units.  The bedrooms all had a make over with a lick of paint, new carpet and occasional chairs.  Soft furnishings were added to create a calm and neutral space.

We modernised the sitting room by adding a stunning parquet floor, a huge comfy L shaped sofa and beautiful accessories to create an elegant but relaxed and contemporary feel.  Certain parts of the house have to remain untouched due to planning regulations.

Stay tuned for the next part …
