BEAT THE JANUARY BLUES

It’s a fresh New Year – but so many of us dread January. Ā You don’t need us to spell out the reasons why – we’ve all over eaten, spent far too much, the Christmas decorations are down, the weather is flat and grey in the UK and it’s often hard to motivate yourself. Ā Well NOT in our world!Ā  Check out our 5 quick tips to beat the January blues ….

STEP 1 – FRESH FLOWERS

Fill your house with your favourite flowers. Ā As much as taking the fairy lights and Christmas decorations down can make the house feel a bit empty, fresh scented flowers always cheer you up.

STEP 2 – STAY HEALTHY

Kick start your day with a healthy breakfast. Ā Try and get some of your “five a day” in with fresh fruit. Ā It definitely makes you feel good. Ā Remember, taking care of YOU first thing will set you up in a great mood.

STEP 3 – EXERCISE

You can do it!! Ā It can be tough to drag yourself to the gym but it’s a fact – exercise does release endorphins that make us feel fabulous afterwards with lots more energy and a positive mind. Ā Ideally, stick your trainers on and go for a run or a walk in the fresh air – no excuses, JUST DO IT!! It costs nothing.

STEP 4 – RELAX

So many people punish themselves to have a “dry January”.Ā  Well, not in our world!Ā  We believe that everything should be in moderation and it’s important to have realistic goals.Ā  Pour yourself a glass of wine in the evening and relax – you deserve it.

STEP 5 – TREAT YOURSELF

Book yourself a treat – maybe it’s a massage or a beauty treatment for the end of the month.Ā  Better still, book a holiday – even if it’s months away!Ā  Having something to look forward to on the grey rainy January days will keep you focussed and motivated.

These are our top tips for beating the January blues!Ā  Remember, Spring isn’t too far away so relax and go with the flow.Ā  Love CCx
